How it all started
Furniture Works Upholstery was started almost 40 years ago after its founder John T Hallman realized his talent and the need for a top notch upholstery shop in Charleston SC that catered to the discerning client. Starting in his garage he soon outgrew this location and moved to West Ashley. As word of mouth spread about Furniture Works he soon moved to the current location at 1922 Cosgrove Ave in North Charleston SC 29405. Furniture Works is now the premier upholstery shop in Charleston with clients coast to coast and now clients in London and Paris. Many jobs published in local magazines, world wide publications and lastly many of your favorite reality shows and movies on the big screen!

We are dedicated to the creation of the visions that you have. Furniture Works creates custom upholstery and with our many partners we can create custom furniture custom beds and headboards and slip covers. We can also build and upholster banquettes and cushions for your home or restaurant.
